The V243HBD is an excellent Monitor. At 2ms I saw no blurring or ghosting what so ever, when watching Movies and playing Games. My Monitor came with no dead pixels, very clear screen [ nice on the eyes], The controls are easy to use and placed on the bottom right handside. Blue power light indicates power on. Upon switch, ACER Logo appears, The Monitor sits on a sturdy base keeping it secure. Full Widescreen .. BLISS !!! :) Would I recommend this Monitor ? YES I WOULD, BUY ONE !! 5 STARS *****

Sleek design. Very high screen to frame ratio. Slim lightweight unit yet with quality feel to the build. Built in PSU so no trailing transformers. No High Gloss! What a relief!
Excellent picture quality and I'm having to sit 4 feet away to take it all in. Given the small size ( Ha! Writing this in word and realised the screen is 2 and a half A4 pages big!) Well, compared to big hd1080 tv's at least, what you get here is a helluva lot of pixels per inch. Probably one of the highest you're likely to see on a display, and hence, AMAZINGLY SHARP.
Cons - The base is round and the Acer logo is somewhat unremarkable.
I had an acer monitor before this and never had any problems. Acer is a brand I most definitely trust and if you don't already this product will certainly win you over, unless of course you're unlucky enough to get dead pixels on yours. I didn't and so am over the freakin moon.

What can i say that already has been said? I looked at the first 2 reviews, and on that basis bought this monitor and i have to say i'm really really impressed! playing COD4 in HD..looks sweet,no screen lag colours bright,good contrast, and sharp text.Bargain for the price!..buy it!...oh and i've no dead pixels like the earlier reviews. One of the best bit of kit i've bought in ages.

Totally agree with the other 3 reviews. I bought mine at the end of May when it was £160 and thought it was good value then. Now it's an even better bargain and a brilliant monitor to boot. The stars say it all really.

If you want excellent value for money, a superb picture and great service from Dab's, then look no further than this model from Acer. No dead pixels, a sharp picture and a simple menu for colour options, i don't think you'll be disappointed.

Brilliant monitor, its on a level with high spec monitors at a fantastic price,could'nt ask for more. I would reccomend this unit as a first class purchase. Dabbs delivery. Excellent Setup, EasyPeasy. Go for it.

I decided I wanted a monitor to replace my old 22inch. I looked through the reviews and saw this got 5 stars and good reviews.

I have to say I agree. This is a wonderful monitor, lightweight, thin and very sleek. The black surround frames the screen wonderfully.

This monitor has a DVI AND VGA port on the back, unlike some other models. I have my PC in the VGA and an Xbox 360 in DVI, the screen will autoswitch to the other when one is turned off, nice feature.

Its sharp, bright and the viewing angle is great.

Highly recommended, especially at the price.

Awesome Acer Monitor

I opened up the box after being in two minds about buying a new monitor, and was disappointed when I pulled out the European power cable: "Damn... oh wait" *pulls out British one too* "They gave me both... That's nice."

... Then again when I pulled out the VGA cable "Ah damn, they gave me a VGA cable... Never mind I can use my VGA-DVI converters... oh wait" *pulls out DVI cable too* \o/

For a monitor that is so cheap, you get so much... Got it hooked up to my Xbox and PC same as review below.

Totall flawless and perfect monitor. You don't even need a screwdriver to put the base together (not an essential feature, but all the little nice things add up).

Dabs delivered two days after ordering. thanks Dabs. Unpacked and attached to base. Very easy to do and set up in just a couple of minutes. Wasn't nice and shiny but more of a matt finish to the framework. amazed to find DVI and VGA cables included not to mention two power cables, one standard UK fitting and one round pin plug. What more can I say. Just plugged into the computer and it set itself up. Adjusted the setting to 1920 x 1080. Great product. Thanks Acer.
