Silent and very low coil noise!!! Moreover, just x1 8 pin power connector. So far one of the best 970s on the market, worth every penny and definitely much better choice than MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming.

I am amazed at performance of this however coming from upgrading from a 5770HD in my first self build PC the performance is not really comparable. That saying my core temp has maxed at 63c on ultra settings in World of warcraft ultra settings which runs average 80-90fps......
Main grip with ease if use was I found the install drivers on disc were a complete waste of time as didn't work...... Had to eventually just download direct from nvidia..... However., this may have been cause old and drivers had not been removed and were conflicting. I did nt try the disc once correctly removed all AMD so this may have been the only issue. As a novice in my first PC build it may gave just been lack of experience etc.
I would highly recommend though if your budget can push to it.

Best graphics card purchase I have ever made.

The cost considering its a gpu that has just come out is more than acceptable to start with; the performance per watt and bang for buck is out of the roof. All I needed was a single 8 pin power cable connected! (For the ASUS model anyway) Amazing. PLUS at 1080p on very high settings on up-to-date games (e.g. Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag) I'm hitting 60fps pretty much constantly. Also for some slightly older games it can pull off a new nVidia feature called DSR (basically 4K downscaled to FHD screens) and it looks really effective in fairness, I wouldn't say anti-aliasing is even necessary with it on. So yeah there's loads more this incredible GPU has to offer so just buy it!! In my opinion theres no need for GTX 980, just sli the 970 if you can in future.
