did the job

I received a Dynamode wifi adapter with an RTL8188SU chipset. Works well in my trouble wifi spots which is why i purchased it.
Good driver support under windows and linux from realtek.
It's one of those half usb ends so feels a bit loose in the laptop though, which is why it's only getting a 4/5 from me. I feel that will give me problems in the future.

Good stuff

Bought this needing it to work with Windows 7 64 bit and in a corner of the house where the signal isn't so great. Worked straight away off the enclosed drivers on CD and gets me a really strong signal. Very happy.
Only grip is I agree with Jim that they could've done better with USB connection. It doesn't feel secure.

Half USB isn't robust
Reviewed by Gary. Review Posted 01/07/2010
I'm not a customer for this product and the reason for this is the half thickness USB plug clearly seen from the photo.
Not sure just how tough it would have been to manufacture this product with a conventional and secure USB connector, but I think that this will put off many customers.
I have been looking for some time for a USB wifi adaptor that would permit a high gain aerial to be fitted, aside from the above concern, this product would have been ideal.

Signal boosted from "very low" to "low"
Reviewed by Dan. Review Posted 16/09/2010
I was using a wireless-n usb adapter from netgear which came with the wireless n router. I was beginning to despair and contemplated drilling holes through wall and ceilings to get a network cable. I was only able to get a "very low" signal which meant that my skype calls would quite often cut out. Now with this one I've moved up a notch to "low" which is actually fine and affords some margin which didn't exist before.

Increased connection strength from "very low" to "low"
Reviewed by Dan. Review Posted 16/09/2010
This works but don't expect miracle increase in range. From very low to low is quite good enough for my purposes. I was using a standard netgear usb stick before and getting broken signals. Now it's strong enough to work for video calls etc. without interruption.
