Replaced an old main brand router with the Vigor 2710n, looking for overall stability and good wireless performance. I have not been disappointed. The wireless coverage is superb, with even the farthest reaches of the house never dropping below 60%. In the detached brick garage I get 40% and in the greenhouse 20 metres behind the house 20% where I could still run BBC I-Player without a problem. Documentation is a bit sketchy, but the router is very easy to set up. I didn't hit the streaming video problem highlighted by another Dabs reviewer.

I had high hopes for this router, given it's many reviews and awards. Set-up was straightforward (PC, wirelessly to laptops, ipad, iphones, Sony TV, Panasonic IP camera). PnP worked well, also setup of static routes and firewall config. Wireless signal strength was excellent all over the house and in the garden. Unfortunately, and bizarrely, any streamed content (YouTube, BBC iPlayer etc.) would only work for less than a minute, then the feed would inexplicably stop. Same problem on all devices. So, not fit for purpose. Replaced with Netgear DGN3500, which, so far, has worked flawlessly.
