Description
The Vigor 2830 series is DrayTek's flagship premium ADSL router/firewall family with support for professional features such as VLAN tagging and Gigabit Ethernet. Compatible with all variants of ADSL (including ADSLMax, ADSL2+ and Annex M) the Vigor 2830 can be used for cable-modem and leased line applications using its additional gigabit ethernet WAN port. A four port Gigabit switch on the LAN side provides high speed connectivity for your server or other local PCs, for the highest speed local data transfer. Security features include content filtering, web application controls and object based firewall management system.

Solid product with good functionality. We have the 3G failover WAN with a 'three' dongle. Technically support are knowledgable and helpful, we got the rules we wanted and load balancing setup with them in 10mins.

The antenna are on the opposite side to the LAN ports. The box really wants to stand upright. Fine if you hang it on a wall. But if you do so, how are you ever gonna see the diagnostics LEDs? Granted, they aren't essential but it would still be nice if one could actually see them.
This is no "easy" box to configure. Given the impressive feature list, I do not mind this at all. What I mind is the poor English in many places, the manual included. Besides the manual, be sure to read the FAQs on Draytek's site (better English).
I hate my NAS (too complicated for words) and wanted the Vigor's USB port to provide an easy alternative. Should work, but VITAL information is absent from the manual (FAT32 <= 500GB; "primary" only; try "MiniTool Home" to format). Despite my drive showing on XP now, entire file trees are simply missing. Waiting on support...
With a little more attention to detail, this could be an impressive product.
