I upgraded from a Core 2 Duo OC'd at 3.2 GHz.
The improvement is staggering, even at stock speed. I've done a quick OC to 4.2 GHz and this thing just flies! I was going to be more ambitious with the OC but there's no need as I have all the performance I need.
The stock cooler is quite small (and Ivy Bridge runs hotter than Sandy Bride) so a good cooler is needed to support overclocking (hence 4 for value).
