(40 European maps) Your personal entertainment system: The NAVIGON 8410 includes a Digital Photo Album and integrated multimedia Player (DVB-T ready) so you can watch videos stored on SD cards or TV via the optional DVB-T module. It also boasts a sensitive genuine glass surface, which reacts to the slightest touch from fingertips similar to the Apple® iPhone®. The 8410 supports WMA/WMW. For MP3 support, and all other music & video formats, a Digital Codec Package can be purchased from the NAVIGON online shop in Maps & Services for £15.00.
New Real City3D: Never before have selected major European city centres been replicated in such faithful detail. Streets, buildings with genuine façades, road markings such as zebra crossings and even traffic lights are all displayed in 3D.
New Voice Interaction Pro: All important functions, as well as dialling telephone numbers, can be conveniently performed via voice command, which is activated by a gentle touch of the genuine glass surface. The new generation of Voice Command, Professional Voice Command 2.0, turns your NAVIGON into an intelligent listener. Talk to the system in colloquial sentences, for example, as if you were asking a friend where the nearest Italian restaurant is, or say a telephone number or a contact's name and your NAVIGON will dial for you directly. So you're in control the whole time - almost without having to take your hands from the steering wheel.
Bluetooth hands-free set: For compatible phones, make phone calls while driving without infringing the law.
City View3D, Landmark View3D and Panorama View3D: Faster and better orientation due to 3D displays. With City View3D, entire stretches of road can be shown as three-dimensional models. Landmark View3D shows selected points of interest in detailed 3D displays. Panorama View3D assists drivers by producing a realistic image of the environment with terrain elevation.
TMC Routing Info: Traffic warnings are good but intelligent traffic circumnavigation is even better. TMC Routing Info shows you alternative routes and information on the length and duration of the new route compared to the original route. You can then decide whether short traffic congestion might, in fact, be the quicker option after all.
Spoken TMC: Congestion announcements are read out loud so you can't miss them and they are just as detailed as radio announcements.
Truck Navigation: This optional extra available from www.navigon.com allows the user to set a profile for a large vehicle. Height, weight, width, length, axles, hazardous y/n can all be specified so that the routing will then avoid low bridges, width and weight restrictions and other route dangers.
Text-to-Speech: Street names are also spoken out loud ensuring you don't miss your turning and allowing you to concentrate on the road.

New Pedestrian Navigation: Pedestrians use different routes to drivers and you can use the NAVIGON 8410 instead of a road map to arrive at your destination on foot - a wrist strap is included for comfortable handling. The NAVIGON 8410 can act as a personal city guide - pedestrian navigation will ensure that you get to your destination on foot without any unnecessary detours. Unfamiliar signs can be precisely researched and favourite shops or other sights of interest located. The clear and simple portrait format display provides optimal guidance and features such as the E-Compass and a battery which has up to four hours of life make it perfect for pedestrians.
New NAVIGON Last Mile: Because not every destination you enter in your navigation system will have a parking space right outside it, NAVIGON lets you park the car and be guided the rest of the way safely on foot. It will also guide you back to the car again later.
New NAVIGON Clever Parking: Displays the nearest parking options well before arrival, including detailed information such as prices in some cases. These can then be clicked and selected as a destination.
NAVIGON includes important safety features as standard across its whole range including Lane Assistant Pro, which displays the best lane to take well in advance of the next junction taking into account three, instead of two, subsequent driving manoeuvres. This means you won't need to cut across a multi-lane carriageway at the last minute; Reality View Pro, which displays motorway junctions and exits not as lines, but true to detail and realistically with asphalt, road markings and signs; Speed Assistant and Safety Camera, which tell you the current speed limit and warn you with audio and visual warnings if you exceed speed limits and are near a safety camera.
