Description
The NH-D14 is built for ultimate quiet cooling performance. Topped off with a tube of Noctua's award-winning NT-H1 thermal compound as well as the SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system, the NH-D14 is an elite choice for the highest demands in premium quality quiet cooling.
Six heatpipe dual radiator design
Providing more surface area, better heat-distribution and superior airflow efficiency than conventional tower style heatsinks, the NH-D14s six heatpipe dual radiator design was developed to provide ultimate quiet cooling performance in dual fan mode.
Dual NF-P14/NF-P12 fan setup
The NH-D14 sports a premium quality dual fan setup consisting of Noctua's award-winning NF-P12 (120mm) and NF-P14 (140mm) fans, both of which feature Vortex-Control Notches, SCD technology and SSO-Bearings in order to achieve a perfect balance of performance and quietness.
Asymmetrical design for high compatibility
An asymmetrical design that gives more clearance towards the RAM slots ensures good compatibility despite of the coolers size. The NF-P12 fan can be moved upwards or left off in order to further improve compatibility.
Excellent component cooling
Hanging out at the bottom of the fin-stacks, the NF-P14 fan doesn't only contribute to the NH-D14s superb CPU cooling capabilities but also provides massive airflow over surrounding motherboard components and heatsinks, thus ensuring excellent component cooling performance.
SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting system
Noctua's enthusiast grade SecuFirm2 multi-socket mounting provides broad socket compatibility (LGA1366, LGA1156, LGA775, AM2, AM2+ and AM3) and meets the highest demands in safety, contact pressure and ease-of-use.
NT-H1 thermal compound
Noctua's much-acclaimed NT-H1 is a well proven pro-grade TIM solution that provides minimum thermal resistance, excellent ease-of-use and outstanding reliability.

Quiet, quick and cool and well worth the money
Reviewed by Jason. Review Posted 27/10/2012
I bought one of these for my AMD 965 to run in a Fractal R3 case, to replace an aging tower cooler I was using. As I wanted my computer to be very quiet I switched the P12 and P14 fan for three, yes three P-14 fans. If you email Noctua telling them this is what you want to do, they will send you an extra set of fan holders for free! When fitted with the Ultra Silent Adapters you can only just hear the fans 1 meter away from the case. Not only are they quiet, but I also managed to overclock my 965 from 3.4GHz to 3.9GHz by simply upping the multiplier. With 100% load for an hour, none of the processor cores go above 45 degrees. This cooler might look expensive, but its very well made and is very efficient.

Massive cooler but great
Reviewed by James. Review Posted 22/07/2012
First off great cooler. I have my i5 760 running at 4Ghz now for over a year without any difficulty. Secondly you will need a wide case as this cooler is very tall. I have about 3mm space left in my Antec 900 case. Lastly, you will need fairly low memory when using this. I have 4 x Patriot G Series Sector 5 Edition dimms and they and nearly touching so dont get any memory taller then those if you intend to but this cooler.

What a peice of kit.

First off, this aint no pint sized cooler. ITS MASSIVE and heavy enough. Make sure your case can take it. If you got ram with those mental big fins on top (ripsaw, vengeance etc..) make sure that you have the clearance.
Anyway...
i7 2600k @:
Stock - Full Load for 60 minutes = 40c
Stock - Idle for 60 minutes = 26c
Clocked 5.2ghz - Full load for 60 minutes = 56c
Clocked 5.2ghz - Idle for 60 minutes = 34c
This not only outperformed my Corsair H100 it was quieter while doing it.
BUY ONE NOW, even just to use it as a paper weight its just so well made.

CPU Cooler is a beast a massive dual fan cooler.
Ease of use was rather tricky to fit especially when installing into the case once its fitted with its backplate. Quite heavy as well might need a helping hand when fitting the backplate.
Not for the faint hearted as this is a enthusiasts cooler, the cooler can only fit low profile memory sticks like Kingston Hyper X sticks. So be warned but there be saving grace as there's two orientations to place the cooler over the mobo heat sinks or place it over the memory slots.
But after installation it works like a dream, it cools my i5 2500k stock @ speed 3.3ghz at 20c. It can tend to get a bit louder when the cpu gets stressed. But luckily you can tweak the fan when the full 1200RPM kicks in when it gets a bit too much though in the bios changing the fan speed to lower RPM.

Great cooler!
Reviewed by . Review Posted 10/01/2011
have this in now for a week and its great. Im torture testing my computer (as Im typing this) with a 3.6GHz overclock core i5 760 and the max temp is only 50C and I dont even have the case fans to the max.
Talking about cases you will need a decent sized one because this cooler is massive!! It just fits in my Antec 900 case by about 5mm and the ram slots are completely covered by the cooler and the outer fan, but is still a great cooler.
If you want a great cooler and have the space for it and dont want expensive water cooling this is a great buy
