Very pleased.

I got this monitor yesterday. No dead pixels. Max res is also the native res so it runs perfectly. It's 23" exactly, I measured just to check.
It's 16:9 which I like, unlike some other LCDs which appear to be 16:10. Looks great, it's very light too. The menu is well laid out I thought. For the price it is outstanding quality.

Good Monitor Series
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 23/09/2010
I bought the 24" version of this monitor before it became discontinued...and for alot more money XD its capible of doing 1920x1200 because of the 16:10 aspect ratio but those are just little details.
These monitors are fantastic, i love my monitor, and im wanting to get 2 more as similar as possible to have a tri screen display.

Great TFT, no dead pixels.
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 28/09/2010
I've got the older 24" version of this model also. It does have the advantage of being able to do 1920x1200, where as this only does 1920x1080(the current 'cool'), which is a shame. But other than that it is a great model for a TFT, as are all in this Samsung range. Can't fault it for the price and performance.

Amazing Value
Reviewed by Mark. Review Posted 30/09/2010
This Samsung 23inch w/screen was bought to replace a dead 20inch Philips TFT. It cost almost £100 less than the Philips did some 4 years ago - amazing value. Lovely screen and easily comparable picture quality versus the Philips with no dead pixels. Per other commentor, screen set way too bright out of the box so turn it down to at least 50% in the setup menu as soon as you get it, you won't miss the glare and will be able to read your screen without needing sunglasses! The only thing missing is the base has no height adjustment but for £100 saving over the Philips I can find a box to stand it on if need be. Thank you Dabs for another outstanding value product, including the standard no cost delivery service that is second to none.

All good

Excellent quality. Excellent value. Free delivery. Set up in seconds. The only minor gripe is Samsung, like a lot of other manufacturers, only include an analogue cable not DVI. Brilliant monitor for £130.

Best I've had
Reviewed by Steve Elliott. Review Posted 16/08/2010
I bought this because I didn't like the BenQ monitor I had and I'm very happy with it, the only setting I changed was the brightness down to 60%, one thing I did notice was a horrible red hue to photos after I installed the drivers, but once I rolled it back to the windows drivers it was good again, there are no bad pixels and its a nice clear picture with good colour tones, if I ever need another monitor I'll be buying one of these

This is my first LCD monitor I have purchased and I have to say I am delighted with it. The picture quality is amazing and thankfully I can’t see any dead pixels. If you are in the market for a LCD monitor I would have no hesitation in recommending the Samsung Syncmaster 2333.

Very good value
Reviewed by Ashley Martin. Review Posted 01/04/2009
For the money this monitor is exceptional value. The stand can be a little tricky to get on but a little oil or WD40 (and I do mean a little!) gets it on. Beautiful to look at in piano black and even better when its in action. Set the Brightness down to 85 and the Contrast to 60 otherwise you will need sunglasses. Tried a few games and there was no issue with the slightly odd 16:9 resolution, in fact there is a lot of screen room especially with games like Dawn Of War 2. Plays HD movies beautifully as well especially The Dark Knight in 1080p. A little backlight bleed is my only critisism but its really a little one considering how much you are paying.

Very nice screen - but one stuck pixel!
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 16/03/2009
This is clearly a very nice screen, at a very good price, but I'm a little cheesed off that there's a bright pixel about 1/6th from the top, dead centre. Will be investigating Samsung's policy...
The stats don't say, but this screen does support HDCP over DVI. It can also go down to a refresh rate of 48Hz so 24fps Blu-rays play smoothly (they won't at 60Hz), although a message does appear for a few seconds warning that it's not the optimal mode.
The stand is typical of Samsungs and can be tricky to fit in the base of the screen. Easier said than done, but the best method is slow left-and-right rocking with firm downward pressure on the top corners to gradually ease it in (no more than about 10 seconds max).

Above average monitor for the price
Reviewed by Anonymous Review Posted 08/07/2010
You've probably been looking at monitors in the budget price range. The SM2333SW is just a little more expensive that bargain bucket efforts, but worth it. The image quality is above average, but a little short of exceptional.
Attached to my Macbook Pro it matched the notebook's screen colour and contrast pretty well. I took this as a good sign, and something that I don't see too often.
The big issue is a backlight that's too strong, to the extent that it begins to burn-out the whites in the image. The solution is simple -- keep the backlight to 50-60%. It's bright enough at that level for everything anyway.
Avoid the clever colour/contrast matching option if you're serious about display accuracy. The image will seem a little duller, but you'll get used to it, and begin to love it after a while.
I bought this screen for photo editing/DTP and it's just about OK for that, but it's really a screen for casual home use/gamers.
