A very important feature is not listed in the specification. I purchased this drive so that my daughter could watch our DVDs in the car using our IPAD2. All our videos are in MKV format.
I decided to buy and would return if it was not supported.
Great news, the drive has a mini DLNA server, so by installing airplayer on the iPAD, MKV is supported. It works perfectly, although with multiple connections the video stutters from time to time.

I've read a lot of reviews about this device. Glad I bought it! Easy to use, does exactly what I need it to do. The interface on the iPad is fine, don't have any complaints at all. Battery as stated, can genuinely stream three devices of it at the same time. Brilliant!

Brilliant piece of kit! If you have an iPad (or iPhone etc.) you NEED one of these. It does exactly what it says- gives you access to a serious amount of stuff. Biggest drawback to iStuff is being tied to a 'sync machine' to juggle the lack of storage. No more! Carry lots and access when you want. And great range! Wander around, into the garden, whatever, and get seamless video reception.
Unusual to get such a finished product so early in the cycle- because this is the way it is going to go! I cannot fault this.
